Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Balcatta

Role Overview: Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to assist our Group Accountant in overseeing the financial operations of our company. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, mentoring the accounts team, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Reconciliation:
  Prepare timely monthly accounts, conduct monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, and produce end-of-year reports compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Management Reporting:
  Compile and present data in summary formats to aid management decision-making.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  Assist in cash flow preparation and contribute to the annual budgeting process.
• Tax Compliance:
  Manage monthly GST audits, prepare quarterly GST reports, and ensure accurate payroll tax submissions.
• Asset Management:
  Maintain an up-to-date asset register and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Team Leadership:
  Supervise and mentor the accounts team, providing guidance and identifying training needs.
• Payroll Duties:
  Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with all related tax obligations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Completed Accounting or Finance Degree.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn accounting software (MYOB).
• Previous experience in an accounting environment is advantageous.
