Responsibilities:
· lead and project manage multiple medium to high complex audit engagements, ensuring the timely, effective and efficient achievement of objectives including meeting quality and cost budget requirements
· lead and manage staff and activities to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, relevant legislative requirements, auditing standards and relevant IT security standards and better practices
· exercise professional judgement and ensure quality documentation and analysis to support audit conclusions, and recommendations to clients
· develop innovative approaches to audit and organisational improvement opportunities to achieve excellence in client service and cost-effective operations
· build team capability to meet current and future demands through effective coaching, mentoring and professional development strategies
· ensure adherence to audit methodology, relevant Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards and IT security standards and better practices
· take reasonable care for your own and others' health and safety; follow health and safety instructions; and support and cooperate with health and safety systems, policies and procedures.You will be assessed on the following:
· proven ability to lead a team, manage multiple audits with competing deadlines to deliver business outcomes to a high-quality standard and in a timely and cost-effective manner
· provide ongoing learning and development opportunities to build the capability of staff and actively managing employee performance
- advanced level of knowledge and the application of: Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards and relevant information security standards
- analysis of large data using various tools, including interest in furthering our use of data analytics and other innovative approaches
- advanced level of knowledge of information security risks, controls, risk mitigation strategies and better information security practices
· proven ability to develop and apply innovative ideas, the latest technologies, and new techniques while ensuring appropriate principles are maintained
· proven ability to manage and create effective relationships with all stakeholders and provide insightful and valuable recommendations
· highly developed written and oral communication skills suitable for application to a variety of forums including high level client meetings and reports to Parliament.
Requirements:
A successful candidate will have
- Certified Information Systems Auditor qualification.
- Experience in Big 4 Audit
- Strong understanding of auditing techniques and financial regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
Conditions:
- An estimated hourly rate of AUD 100 - AUD 180 per hour + super (depending on level of experience)
