Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineer with experience in Water Infrastructure to join our team in Canberra or Wollongong.
Bringing an appetite for building and maintaining strong client relationships and a passion for contributing to a high performing team, you will utilise your expertise to deliver complex and ambitious water infrastructure projects for our clients.
You’ll have a balance of technical work, design management, project management, operational support, business development, client engagement and support the continued growth of our team’s capabilities through mentoring.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Delivering various and significant ACT, NSW, Australian and international Water Infrastructure projects by understanding clients’ needs
- Using your technical, project management and client relationship skills to lead small and medium projects, and make a valued contribution to major projects
- Understanding client and project technical requirements, assisting to develop solutions, and preparation of technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentations
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including business development, and engagement throughout project delivery
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, coupled with 7-10 years’ experience that includes water infrastructure concept and detailed design
- The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across the project lifecycle
- Strong client relationship skills, project management skills, and experience in preparing winning proposals
- Design or planning skills in water infrastructure, producing technical reports, developing engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Experience with using civil design software and digital design workflows
- Project management or design management experience, together with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staff
