Your role at St John of God Health Care
You will be responsible for the administration of systems, including but not limited to servers, virtualisation technologies, cloud computing, data centre management, storage and backup infrastructure. The role also requires the technical support for applications, working with the other teams to support the maintenance and upgrade of the applications.
The Position
-
Installing, configuring and managing Virtualisation Technologies (host systems and derived guest systems)

Working in conjunction with other teams to provide Technical support for Microsoft Exchange and troubleshoot Microsoft system issues.

Determining failure trends and root-cause.

Maintaining awareness of 3rd party platform strategy and roadmaps including (but not limited to) Microsoft.

Ensuring appropriate backup procedures are implemented and working appropriately for both physical and virtual environments.

Participating in the design, test and implementation of high availability solutions.

Participating in the Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing of core applications.

Implementing and release of system changes following the prescribed framework

Ensuring all infrastructures are correctly configured within monitoring tools.

Participating in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources.

Participating in the planning, design, documentation and implementation of various systems to include servers, network equipment, storage, Data Centre facility management.

Responsible for ongoing development, installation, configuration, Testing, maintenance and support of Infrastructure, Systems and Applications (On-Premise and Cloud).

Automating and continuously delivering and deploying supported scripting frameworks.
To succeed you will have a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience with and knowledge of computer system architecture (particularly Microsoft Windows Server/Terminal Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Linux, and VMWare), experience with Dell/HP server hardware, along with a willingness to adopt new technologies such as cloud computing.
You will have demonstrated ability resolve technical issues in a systematic manner, as well as the ability to design and implement new IT solutions. This position requires the ability to provide on-call emergency support when required. Previous health care experience would be highly regarded.

Salary $119,910 to $133,183 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation

Permanent full-time position working 76 hours a fortnight
