About the Opportunity
Council has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Finance team. The Finance Officer role offers a wide variety of interesting and meaningful work, in a supportive and welcoming environment.
In this temporary part time role, the successful candidate will undertake a broad range of tasks from processing invoices, allocating payments and reporting in Accounts Receivable (Debtors), through to processing invoices and reconciling statements for payment in Accounts Payable (Creditors). The Finance Officer is required to collaborate across the organisation to provide exceptional, customer-focused finance services. This dynamic role will allow you to bring your skills to drive innovative solutions and enhance our practices.

What you need to Succeed
To be an ideal candidate for this role, you will need to have good judgement and initiative with great communication skills. You will need to be able to work harmoniously in a team environment and have the ability to deal discretely and tactfully with confidential and sensitive information.
It is preferred that you have well developed skills and experience when dealing with customers and other parties to ensure the best outcome for Council and customers. A willingness to learn and a methodical and flexible approach to working will ensure that tasks are completed correctly, accurately and on-time.
