Queensland Museum is one of Queensland's oldest cultural and scientific institutions, established in 1862. As Queensland's state museum, it is custodian of more than 15 million amazing objects and specimens which tell the unique stories of Queensland.
Reaching over 2 million visitors each year, Queensland Museum has five sites:
- Queensland Museum, Brisbane
- The Workshops Rail Museum, Ipswich
- Cobb + Co Museum, Toowoomba
- Museum of Tropical Queensland, Townsville
- Queensland Museum Collections and Research Centre, Hendra
We are currently seeking a motivated Philanthropy Officer to join our Philanthropy team.
About The Role
The Philanthropy Officer will play a vital role in coordinating fundraising activities and stakeholder engagement designed to support Queensland Museum's strategic priorities and state-wide programs This role works closely with colleagues across the organisation.
Organised and self-motivated, the successful applicant will have sound interpersonal and written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes in a dynamic, multi-faceted work environment. Prior experience in a similar position or tertiary qualifications in fundraising, marketing or communications will be highly regarded.
