Our menu showcases classic Mediterranean and Turkish dishes, crafted with care using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We pride ourselves on delivering a unique and unforgettable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently prepare and cook a wide range of Mediterranean and traditional Turkish dishes, including Sac Kavurma, Guvec, Adana kebab, Icli Kofte , grilled meats, and rotating daily specials.
- Operate and manage various kitchen sections, including pan section, charcoal grill, deep fryer , and other cooking stations, ensuring food is prepared efficiently and safely.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, flavor authenticity, and presentation aligned with Turkuaz’s brand standards.
- Plan and execute daily food preparation in accordance with customer demand and menu requirements.
- Monitor kitchen operations and ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and food safety regulations .
- Assist in menu development and enhancement of existing recipes in collaboration with the Head Chef and Management.
- Manage food cost control by overseeing stock levels, ingredient selection, waste reduction , and efficient storage practices.
- Supervise and train Cooks and Kitchenhands in food preparation techniques, portion control, cooking methods, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless and timely service, especially during peak hours.
- Assist in inventory ordering and stock rotation to ensure availability of quality ingredients while minimizing spoilage.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook , ideally within a Mediterranean or Turkish kitchen.
- Solid understanding of Mediterranean and Anatolian cuisine .
- Ability to manage multiple kitchen sections and work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, kitchen hygiene , and allergen management.
- Competence in menu planning, recipe development, and portion costing.
- Excellent time management, leadership , and team collaboration skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
