The Role
This Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) role is part-time (0.6 FTE), requiring 3 or 4 days of work per week, including Fridays. The position offers flexible working hours and is an initial 4-month contract with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accounts Payable Tasks:
- Entering invoices
- Performing 3-way matching of purchase orders and delivery dockets
- Investigating discrepancies and resolving supplier queries
- Seeking payment approvals
- Preparing payment files for authorization and uploading ABA files to the bank
- Completing monthly statement reconciliations
- Supporting the OCR implementation project (document management system)
You'll work closely with an experienced Accounts Payable Officer with 15 years of tenure in the company.
Your Profile
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Prior experience in Accounts Payable
- Ability to work in both manual and paperless environments
- Flexibility to adapt to change and collaborate effectively
- The willingness to learn in-house systems (training provided)
