The Role
This is a key leadership position where you'll drive the development and management of their private and public cloud platforms.
As the Cloud Platform Lead, you'll be responsible for ensuring these vital systems meet the evolving needs of the business while providing exceptional leadership to a dedicated and highly skilled infrastructure and cloud team.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, define product vision, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Your expertise will shape the product roadmap and guide the strategic direction of their cloud infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring server productivity and performance
- Creating and implementing update, upgrade and patch management schedules
- Managing data centers and relevant vendor contracts
- Ensuring technology infrastructure services are fit for purpose, responsive, maintained, available, reliable, and secure
- Overseeing cloud services, on-premises technology infrastructure, virtualization, Active Directory, backups, and disaster recovery
What You Bring To The Role
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role and industry, with at least 5 years successfully leading infrastructure teams
- Proven expertise across Infrastructure Strategy, Design, Project Management and Operations
- Experience with Modern Workplace solutions and Infrastructure Architecture
- High level of experience with virtualized environments
- Strong knowledge of VMware, Microsoft Server products, Citrix, enterprise network and security systems
- Strong technical expertise in VMware private cloud and Azure public cloud technologies
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud services
- Proficiency in Office 365 suite
- Demonstrated ability in successfully leading and managing multi-skilled teams
- Experience with large workforce organizations with multi-site operations
- Strong commercial acumen and vendor management skills
- Ability to set realistic stretch objectives, deliverables, timelines and budgets
- Experience in managing large, complex and critical IT environments
- Strong change leadership skills and ability to influence across complex stakeholder groups
