Electoral Commission SA (ECSA) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join the team in this newly created temporary term role.
The Project Officer will support the implementation of recent legislative changes relating to Funding and Disclosure reforms by designing and implementing an information and awareness program targeted at participants of Part 13A of the Electoral Act 1985 .
This involves setting up face-to-face briefings, creating resources to inform stakeholders of their obligations, and developing policies and procedures to support project implementation and compliance.
Reporting to the Senior Project Officer, some of the key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing an information and awareness program to promote and ensure understanding of Funding and Disclosure legislative amendments.
- Designing and delivering in-person information and awareness sessions, and creating a suite of online resources, to inform Funding and Disclosure participants on legislative changes and requirements.
- Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness and impact of information, awareness and engagement programs, and providing timely reporting of emerging issues and risks.
Applications are encouraged from individuals with experience in the planning and delivery of information and awareness programs, and the development of information resources and materials within a public policy, education, law, regulatory compliance or similar field.
High level written and verbal communication skills for the preparation and presentation of informational materials to a range of audiences, along with ability to quickly learn new legislative and policy requirements are essential to this role.
Special Conditions
- This role is offered on a temporary term basis up to 2 years.
- In order not to compromise the strict neutrality of the Commission, no person who is active in political affairs or intends to carry on this activity may be an employee.
- Employment is dependent upon a Criminal history check that the Commission finds satisfactory.
- Extensive out of normal working hours duty may be required during the period of an election.
- Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Remuneration
- ASO5 - $85,790 to $95,413 per annum
