- Act as an organisational expert in Industrial Relations Matters
A fixed-term leadership position has arisen within our People and Culture department that would be an excellent fit for HR professionals with a background in Industrial Relations and Occupational Health and Safety. Work with Executives and Managers from across the health service to support a culture of safety and legislative compliance with a strong focus on industrial relations in a unionised workforce. Provide mentoring and guidance to five direct reports to support approximately 1000 employees.
The Contract: 6-month Fixed Term, Full Time, 80.0 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO
The Position:
In this role you will oversee the delivery of services in Payroll, Occupational Health and Safety, WorkCover and Injury Management, and Industrial Relations. This role aims to adopt a proactive approach to identify and develop areas for review and improvement within these responsibility areas. The role will also provide mentoring, support and guidance to direct reports along with provision of contemporary, high-level advice and guidance to managers regarding performance conduct, culture and industrial relations issues.

Key criteria you need:
- Demonstrated experience on management, supervision and development of staff.
- Relevant tertiary-level qualification in human resources or related discipline (minimum diploma level required)
- At least 3 years' experience working in generalist Human Resources and 3 years' experience working with complex Industrial Relations cases.
- WorkCover VIC Accredited Return to Work Coordinator.
- A good understanding of payroll services to ensure relevant Enterprise Agreements are interpreted and applied appropriately.
