About You
- Trade qualification and at least 5- 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven track record with planning and supervising the maintenance of either fixed plant or mobile plant.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of plant and equipment.
- Electrical knowledge of plant and equipment is desirable but not essential.
- Experience building and leading high performing maintenance teams.
- Proven leadership and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage competing priorities.
- A passion for sustainability, safety, and continuous improvement.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Foreman will play a key role in leading and supporting a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the optimal performance of mobile and fixed plant assets. You'll be responsible for executing preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshooting issues, and managing the workload of the maintenance team, while also supporting long-term strategy, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead the maintenance of mobile and fixed plant assets.
- Supervise multidisciplinary team consisting of mechanical, diesel and electrical team members.
- Plan and manage maintenance schedules to maximise uptime.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership during repairs and overhauls.
- Manage contractors, spare parts inventory, and maintenance records.
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and team development.
- Promote compliance with OHS and quality systems (ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001).
