The key duties of the position include
What you will do as the General Manager, Competition Enforcement and Advocacy or General Manager, Merger Assessment

• represent the ACCC, manage strategic engagement activities with key industry, stakeholder and consumer organisations, including leading discussion and providing strategic and expert advice in decision making forums.
• oversee projects and activities, including planning, monitoring, reporting, research and analysis.
• exercise judgement under pressure to decide the right course of action in challenging and complex scenarios where information is not always complete.
• effectively and proactively manage cultural change.
• play an active stewardship role by contributing to the success of your peers, accepting and demonstrating collective responsibility for the success of the ACCC, engaging constructively to support corporate initiatives and policies, and balancing local and broader agency priorities to seek the best outcomes for the agency.
