The Principal Analyst identifies and communicates system performance insights that promote improvement in the delivery of healthcare in Queensland; in particular, identifying actionable improvement opportunities that enhance the performance of the system (i.e. timeliness, safety, effectiveness, equity, efficiency and patient centred). Acting with relative independence, the ideal candidate will have experience engaging with stakeholders to understand relevant influences on performance; with analysing and interpreting complex data; and with providing high quality advice and support to the Manager and Senior leadership to improve system performance.
What you'll do
You will develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in attaining and preparing data for the development, implementation and review of performance reporting and analysis. You will engage with clinical and executive stakeholders to understand business processes that influence performance and undertake complex analysis, prepare data outputs and provide data quality reports based on data from clinical, administrative and financial information systems. You will also demonstrate advanced reporting and data visualisation techniques both through story telling graphics and supporting information and prepare presentations to convey a story that layers information to take the reader on a journey that provides insightful and actionable information.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated experience undertaking complex analysis and reveal relationships in data from clinical, administrative and financial information systems to provide reliable and actionable system insights within defined timeframes.
- Demonstrated advanced data visualisation and reporting techniques, mobilising both story telling graphics and supporting information, through contemporary electronic and written mediums.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting complex analytical, written advice and corporate communications for executive audiences; and positively collaborate with stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, and ability to be solution orientated using design thinking and an end user approaches to deliver high quality outputs within defined timeframes.
