  • Engineering Skills / Design and Technologies (Industrial Technology strands) - Year 10-12 (Temporary 26/05/2025 to 13/10/2025)

We are looking for an experienced industrial design and technologies (IDT) teacher that has the appropriate skills and qualifications to teach our VET courses - Certificate II in Engineering Pathways and/or Certificate II in Automotive in partnership with TAFE Qld.

Our ideal candidate will have at least one of the below qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Training or Assessment (TAE) or other appropriate trainer skill sets as determined by ASQA
• Certificate II in Engineering Pathways
• Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Pathways

Candidates with the following are also encouraged to apply:
• Experience teaching Engineering Skills Applied Syllabus
• Industry skills and experience in practical engineering or automotive fields
• Willingness to complete RPL processes to receive necessary qualifications if required

  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher.   • Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
