- Salary: $138,631 - $162,076 (Plus Superannuation)

The Role
Reporting to the Director of Standards and Funding Assurance, the Manager - Audit oversees unit operations, leading a team of up to eight staff. Managers in the division set direction, develop staff, and manage finances.
With expertise in government, the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, and department structures, the Manager advises senior stakeholders, negotiates commitments, and ensures timely project delivery.
Beyond daily audit operations, the Manager collaborates with Special Investigations and Provider Management teams to conduct assurance activities and engage training providers on audit findings. The role also leads funding and quality assurance efforts, including compliance, data analysis, and student interviews.
The Team
The position of Manager, Audit forms a part of the Training Operations and Assurance branch and sits within the Skills and Employment group.
The Skills and Employment group oversees tertiary education in Victoria, ensuring quality, accessible training and education for individuals while supporting industry workforce needs.
The branch oversees Victoria's subsidised VET training market, managing provider contracts, payments, compliance, engagement, and ongoing system improvements.
About You
The role demands expertise in auditing, data analysis, and drafting complex briefs and correspondence. Strong analytical skills for processing large datasets, along with stakeholder engagement and leadership, are highly valued.
