Band 5 - Salary Range $78,646 to $90,563 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO

The Opportunity
Working as part of an experienced and innovative event team, this role contributes to the development and the delivery of Council’s dynamic community event program including large- and small-scale outdoor events and corporate functions that align with community needs and objectives as outlined in Council’s Health and Wellbeing plan.
Reporting directly to the Arts and Events Coordinator, the role works closely with community and Council employees ensuring all events are ran in accordance with Council’s policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
With support of the Arts and Events team, design, organise, and oversee all aspects of event execution, including logistics, operations, and evaluations.
Support the development and manage event budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient logistical coordination.
Identify and address community needs to effectively tailor event development and management.
Implement and uphold Occupational Health and Safety and risk management strategies to ensure safe and compliant events.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and community groups and support internal departments for smooth event delivery.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Tertiary qualification in Event Management, Marketing, or a related discipline. Candidates with relevant work experience and/or lesser formal qualifications but proven work skills will also be considered.
Demonstrated track record in planning and executing successful events, including coordination, logistics, marketing, and budget management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
Current First Aid qualification.
Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
