Key accountabilities
The company is entering a period of significant construction activity for a major renewable energy hub in Queensland, and is hiring a Construction Manager to lead the site based execution for the first stage of a significant Solar Farm.
Core responsibilities:
- Manage all the site deliverables including scope, schedule, construction risks and any change management processes
- Work closely with the nominated EPC on finalising design packages and overseeing preliminary site works including road upgrades and entrances
- Manage the Owners Engineer on budget and cost control reviews
- Gain a deep understanding of the contracts for key packages to ensure high levels of quality and compliance with regulatory standards
Ideal profile
- Previous construction experience on a Solar Farm would be highly regarded; alternatively, experience delivering other renewable energy or energy storage projects through construction
- A keen eye for quality and safety best practice relating to construction programs
- Proactive in seeing potential risks or roadblocks and putting in place measures to reduce or avoid their impact
- Highly effective communication skills (both written and spoken) and initiative to work without direction and come with a solution focused approach
