As a result of Georgiou's significant growth after securing the Fiona Stanley Hospital Precinct Western Car Park Project, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years' prior civil construction experience and will display strong technical skills in all elements of civil engineering.What you're good at:
* Previous experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry
* Demonstrated experience in earthworks and pavement constructions for roads and parking areas
* Experience to include inground services like drainage, services and the like as well as finishing works
* Possess sound knowledge and capabilities in managing and overseeing a project or an assigned project section
* Sound knowledge of Main Roads WA Specification and show competence in managing quality control of the works in accordance with these specifications.
* Confident in administering and negotiating contracts for subcontractors and suppliers
* Sound knowledge of cost control, production tracking and cost forecasting
* Demonstrated experience in managing self-perform works as well as subcontractors and suppliers for site works
* Be able to show competence in planning, sequencing of works and recording progress
* Experience in coordinating and/or running toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholder concerns
* Must hold an accredited civil engineering qualification
You will be trusted to:
* Scope, prepare short term look ahead programs, and provide input into the project schedule, status of works and reporting
* Management of day to day activities on site with the assistance of supervisors and subcontractors
* Monitor and report on project progress and maintain our contractual schedule/program
* Monitor and review the project task financial outcomes, including overseeing project monthly forecasting and short-term cost controls to ensure project targets are optimised
* Provide daily support, team supervision and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company set performance criteria
* Supervise the daily contract administration requirements and collaborate in the negotiation and control of subcontractor and supply agreements
* Ensure project HSEQ objectives are set, shared and adhered to create an exemplary safety culture aligned to the values of 'Safety is My Way'
* Build and create lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors to improve financial and productivity outcomes
