We pride ourselves on delivering cutting-edge experiences, underpinned by reliable, innovative, and safe mechanical systems.The Role: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist (Mechanical Engineering) to manage the technical performance, safety, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems across our entertainment venues.
You will play a key role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and performance optimisation of bowling and arcade machinery, HVAC systems, and other venue infrastructure to ensure exceptional customer experiences and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct performance testing, diagnostics, and functional evaluations of mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
- Oversee installation, calibration, and commissioning of mechanical systems including bowling pinsetters, arcade equipment, and motion-based attractions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure machinery complies with Australian safety and engineering standards.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- o Support venue design projects by providing mechanical solutions for new or upgraded systems, including bowling lanes and arcade game installations.
- Design modifications or system improvements to enhance efficiency, durability, and safety.
- Analyse breakdowns and perform root-cause analysis to develop technical solutions.
- Assist in the procurement and specification of new machinery and spare parts.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, manuals, reports, and compliance records.
- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams and venue managers.
- Ensure work is compliant with WHS and engineering best practices.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or engineering technology or a related technical field, with experience in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems within a leisure, entertainment, or similar environment.
- Minimum 1-2 years' relevant industry experience, preferably in entertainment venues, amusement parks, or similar mechanical systems environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and technical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Australian Standards and WHS regulations.
- Experience with CAD software and mechanical design tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
