About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. Duties
The primary purpose of the Security Administrator is to provide efficient IT security services and technical expertise to support the operation of infrastructure and applications, including elements of network security, server and desktop security, web application security and security administration.
The Security Administrator will support the Information Technology Security Advisor (ITSA) in providing risk assessment, advice and assurance for the implementation of cyber security controls in ICT programs and projects.
The Security Administrator will undertake agency cyber security incident management response and reporting, perform Cyber and Software Security administration and monitoring.
Special Conditions
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
- A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential;
- A flexible approach to working hours is required;
Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.
Requirements
Essential: Tertiary qualification in information technology or another relevant field and/or a recognised Security certification.
Desirable: Hold the following qualifications:
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

ASO5 ($85,790 - $95,413 pa)
