Description:

Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (COE) are looking for several Advanced Health Worker to join their team. As a member of the Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (CoE) Team, you will participate in and contribute to the delivery of a culturally sensitive and appropriate primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.

About the Role

  • Engage with the relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and health and social services to identify priority actions to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.
  • Identify and prioritise high need areas and implement relevant programs to address the social determinants of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
  • Connect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families to appropriate local health and social service providers.

This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
