About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide operational leadership to Food Services staff and participate in the provisions of a high standard of service by ensuring all established policies, practice guidelines and standards are maintained.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Conduct, coordinate, oversee and accept responsibility for the day to day production and distribution activities of the Food Service department. This includes the supervision of patient food preparation, plating/tray assembly and distribution of meals, dishwashing, ward delivery service, light meal preparation and the preparation and distribution of supplies to day patient areas.
- Ensure all production and distribution activities are carried out in accordance with established policies including the Food Safety plan, work instructions and standards at all times.
- Ensure all staff members perform their duties in an efficient and professional manner, adhere to required break periods, maintain appropriate patient confidentiality and provide a superior customer service.
- Oversee daily supervision of all food service staff.
- Perform the role of Facilitator on the Room Service plating line, checking trays for accuracy and completeness and loading trays in meal delivery trolleys.
