Description:
An exciting opportunity to support the Water sector to deliver water management solutions that are sustainable and improve resilience and livability through Integrated Water Management (IWM) approach as they plan and deliver services aligned with the housing agenda. As Senior Policy Officer, IWM Metro Programs, you will work with the water cycle managers in Metropolitan Melbourne to drive the transition to mainstream an Integrated Water Management approach. You will strengthen networks and capacity across the sector to optimize resilience and water security outcomes through the application of an IWM approach.
Skills in facilitation of collaboration and water planning are highly valued and you will join a flexible supportive and committed team.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Desirable – a tertiary qualification, preferably in science, civil or environmental engineering, natural resource management, economics, political science, social science, law, urban planning or related field.
- Highly desirable – experience in project management and/or process and systems delivery.
- Highly desirable – Demonstrated expertise in urban water planning or policy and expertise in integrated water management or related areas.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 Years. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
