The Opportunity

The Project Assistant supports the Operations team with administrative, transactional, and general support in delivery of vessel service visits and the day-to-day operation of the Service Centre. The role will work closely with the operations team to gather project information and data, to assure administrative functioning and closeout of quality documentation. This position reports to the Office Manager.

What's involved

  • Develop and maintain accurate systems and registers in line with project requirements.
  • Provide level of administration support that fosters an environment of efficiency, accuracy, and order of priority.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports in line with Austal standards and project requirements.
  • Assist Operations and Admin team with general administration duties.

You'll need

Essential

  • Hold a Construction safety induction (white card), or the ability to obtain one.
  • Working experience in an Administrative / Project Support role and/or Diploma in Business Office Administration.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact and communicate positively and professionally.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst managing multiple tasks/projects
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Project management, processes, and planning.
