Description:
Position purpose:
The Warehouse Administrator is responsible for supporting and coordinating all administrative functions related to warehouse operations. This includes inventory management, data entry, shipping and receiving documentation, and maintaining accurate records to ensure efficient warehouse performance. The role plays a key part in streamlining logistics, improving accuracy, and supporting compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Core objectives include:
- Prepare and process orders and requisitions for goods and services, ensuring timely supply of materials to meet operational and production needs.
- Monitor stock levels and supply sources, investigate and identify new suppliers, and prepare and process purchase orders accordingly.
- Receive and verify purchase requests against inventory records and stock on hand; update inventory systems and stock location records accurately.
- Coordinate with production departments and external vendors to ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.
- Confirm completion of orders and compliance with specifications, sign tally sheets, and attach verification to checked items.
- Compile and examine data to develop and adjust production schedules in alignment with inventory levels and operational capacity.
- Count and reconcile incoming stock against requisitions and shipping documentation, ensuring all records are updated and discrepancies addressed.
- Examine containers to confirm correct quantities and contents before shipment or storage.
- Prepare and coordinate delivery schedules, ensuring effective flow of materials between departments and to customers.
- Provide pricing and product information to internal stakeholders or prospective customers to support procurement and sales processes.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for the receiving, handling, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
- Administer and oversee the full cycle of order fulfillment, ensuring goods, materials, and products are processed efficiently through warehouse and delivery systems.
- Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles
- Work close with Warehouse Manager and Accounts Department
- Continually reviews freights, transportation rates to keep costs down where possible
- Undertake general housekeeping, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- Operate the forklift in a safe manner when loading/unloading freight and/or moving stock
- Deliveries as required
Required qualities
• Valid NT Driver license & clean driving record
• Experience in using inventory system
• Demonstrated well-developed oral and written communication skills
• Performing general physical activities.
• Coordinating the work and activities of others
• May perform work requiring minimal supervision either individually or in a team environment
Full Time hours: (38 ordinary hours/wk + 7hrs guaranteed overtime/wk)
Minimum $76,515 + Super
