Description:
- Team Management: Manage a team of professionals involved in application and platform development, maintenance, and support.
- Application Management: Configure and maintain software applications used across the business.
- Methodology Development: Establish and implement best practices and methodologies for working with the platforms.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of development cycles, technical system design, and configuration
- User Experience: Identify and implement solutions to improve the user experience on the platform.
- Business Alignment: Ensure the platform aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Communication : Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff, as well as external vendors.
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to platform development, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Roadmap Planning: Contribute to the development and management of the platform's roadmap, including future initiatives and enhancements.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners involved in the platform.
- Prioritisation: Prioritise tasks based on business needs and impact, focusing on high-priority deliverables.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will ideally come from a DevOps background and therefore has an appreciation for supporting applications/platform. They must be able to lead a transformation; notably taking people and processes from a transactional, applications support focussed team to an improved platform management (focusing on areas such as lifecycle, requirements, design, config, analysis, etc.).
They must be a motivated self-starter who enjoys an inclusive team environement and is happy to lead and manage; with the ability to upskill and mentor more junior team memebers. They must be able to have strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate with multiple levels of seniority (up and down) within the business.
