Key Responsibilities


1. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): Conduct comprehensive EIAs and propose solutions for solar energy projects, including site surveys, data collection, and analysis of potential environmental impacts (e.g., noise, land use, ecological effects) to ensure compliance with Australian regulations.

2. Site investigations and sampling: Conducting fieldwork including sampling of soil, water sources for analysis, assessing contamination levels and identify pollutants.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret national and state environmental policies (e.g., EPBC Act, NSW Protection of the Environment Operations Act), advising the team on compliance requirements for project design and implementation,preparing documentation for permits and government reporting.

4. Sustainability Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability goals into project plans, including carbon reduction strategies, waste management plans, and eco-friendly design recommendations for solar installations.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze environmental baseline data (air, water, soil) using professional software (e.g., GIS, DPSIR model) to generate technical reports for stakeholders, government agencies, and project approvals.

6. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, regulators, and community groups to address environmental concerns, present findings, and ensure project alignment with local sustainability objectives.

7. Project Support: Assist in developing environmental monitoring schemes for solar parks and industrial projects, evaluating risks, and proposing mitigation measures to minimize ecological impact.

8. Policy Research & Advocacy: Track global and local environmental trends, particularly in renewable energy, and contribute to the development of company policies to promote green innovation and compliance.




Job Requirements


Education: A master's degree in highly related fields such as environment and environmental science is required. Candidates with Australian qualifications will be given priority.


Experience:

  1. At least 3 years of professional experience in environmental consulting and impact assessment, and have participated in the research and assessment of key projects involving municipal and provincial governments.
  2. Those with experience in carbon neutrality planning and EOD (Eco-Oriented Development) projects will be given priority.


Skills:

  1. Proficiency in environmental modeling tools (e.g., DPSIR framework, GIS) and data analysis software.
  2. Knowledge of Australian environmental regulations and renewable energy industry standards.
  3. Proven ability to optimize data collection processes and develop regional environmental standards (e.g., cross-border standardization in Greater Bay Area, applicable to Australia-NZ compliance).
  4. Bilingual proficiency (English & Mandarin) – It enables better oral communication and problem-solving with various clients, and is also a key factor in attracting global partners.
