About the Opportunity
Occupational Therapy Mackay is looking for full-time or part-time Occupational Therapists based in Mackay, QLD .
In this hands-on clinical role, you will deliver a broad range of therapy services across clinic and community environments, supporting clients independence, safety, and quality of life.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Delivering face-to-face clinical therapy both in-clinic and in the community
- Conducting functional capacity assessments and clinical interventions
- Recommending, trialling, and prescribing assistive technology and equipment
- Preparing high-quality clinical reports and documentation
- Engaging in hydrotherapy sessions
- Participating in mentoring and professional development initiatives
- Collaborating within a supportive, flexible multidisciplinary team environment
- Managing a mixed caseload tailored to your clinical interests and strengths
About You
We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced OT’s who are passionate about genuine therapy.
You will need:
- A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
- Current AHPRA registration (unconditional)
- A valid Driver’s Licence
We would also value:
- Experience in community-based OT, acute hospital settings, or assistive technology (highly regarded for senior roles)
- Membership with Occupational Therapy Australia (preferred but not essential)
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Police Check or willingness to obtain one
