About the role
At the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, we believe in building a vibrant and sustainable community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
The City’s recent organisational realignment has created the need for two new personal assistant positions, to each of the Director Governance and Organisational Strategy and Director Advocacy and Strategy.
As a Personal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director and Executive Leadership Team to deliver the strategic community plan and shape the future of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. You will support the Director by coordinating directorate teams and activities and performing day-to-day personal assistant duties such as diary management, preparing documentation/reports, assisting with risk management, corporate performance responsibilities, Council reports, meeting administration, and oversight of financial management systems.
You will work closely with the Managers and Coordinators within the portfolio as well as across other operational areas of the City to ensure effective, efficient and customer-serviced focused performance and will be expected to support a highly collaborative wider team with any ad hoc requests.
We are seeking someone who is organised, efficient, able to manage their own workload, take initiative and be an energetic member of the team. This role is perfect for someone with previous administrative or executive support experience who is looking for exposure to a dynamic workplace and opportunity for career development.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prioritise and multi-task in a high volume and deadline-driven environment while delivering work on time, to a high standard and with attention to detail. Local government experience will be highly regarded.
