The Role
This role involves leading major projects for new software, integrations, and upgrades to core applications and infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. They will support and manage project teams, monitor progress, proactively manage risks, and handle stakeholder and change management. Additionally, they will liaise with external vendors, ensure adherence to IT policies, and provide user support during the delivery phase. This role requires an innovative person with proven project management skills to contribute to the successful implementation of the IT strategy.
- Scope, plan, and deliver major projects
- Ensure projects are on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Support and manage project teams
- Monitor progress and provide regular status reports
- Proactively manage risks and issues
- Handle stakeholder and change management
- Liaise with external vendors and ensure adherence to IT policies
Your Background and Experience
- Over 15 years of experience in IT, including IT infrastructure project delivery and complex project management.
- Proven track record in implementing technology and cloud-based projects, with systems or network engineering experience.
- Strong vendor management skills for key project delivery.
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related fields, with project management certification and possibly post-graduate qualifications.
- In-depth knowledge of project management tools, IT infrastructure (including networking and security technologies), and cloud services within the Microsoft stack (O365, MS Azure, Power BI).
- Leadership abilities, stakeholder management, and business acumen, with experience in workshop facilitation and working with outsourced providers.
