Role Purpose

The Senior Data Management Analyst will support data initiatives to ensure that Bankers have access to trusted, governed, and easily accessible data to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure data management practices comply with statutory, regulatory, audit, and risk requirements.

  • Support the operation of the Data Management Framework, including data principles, policies, standards, and guidelines, across data platforms.

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Data Management team, using tools, processes, and best practices.

  • Manage and resolve data quality issues, particularly for critical data elements, including root cause analysis and prioritisation.

  • Define data requirements and create system data mappings for data initiatives.

  • Conduct data profiling to assess the accuracy and completeness of data.

  • Complete Data Platform Assessments to evaluate and advise on the impact of data changes.

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to document interface specifications and ensure effective data movement controls.

  • Maintain accurate data dictionaries and metadata repositories.

  • Ensure reference data sets are accurate and fit for purpose.

  • Conduct training programmes to improve data literacy across the bank.

  • Build strong relationships with Business and Technology stakeholders to foster a collaborative data community.

  • Respond to audit and regulatory requests regarding data management practices.

Role:

The Senior Data Management Analyst role is focused on achieving operational goals within a short to medium-term timeframe, typically up to 12 months.

As an individual contributor, the role holds significant influence over day-to-day operational performance through effective problem-solving and decision-making.

Reporting to the Manager of Data Management, the analyst collaborates with internal teams across the department and engages with external vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of data management activities.
