Step into the role of Factory Assistant, where you'll get hands-on with mobile machinery, support vital plant operations, and be a key player in keeping everything running smoothly. No two days will be the same as you dive into the heart of the sugar industry!
This position will be based at Kalamia Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.
This seasonal position requires working on a rotating shift schedule and some overtime may be required.
Your Role in Action
Shredder Commander: Master the start-up and shutdown of powerful steam turbine shredders, ensuring they run like a dream.Mobile Plant Pro: Hop on mobile equipment to tackle spills, re-rail bins, and handle a variety of other tasks with ease.Milling Train Assistant: Support the team by helping with the start-up and shutdown of the Milling TrainSmooth Operator: Clean and lubricate key equipment like spotters, carriers, and pinions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Tradesperson's Right Hand: Work alongside skilled shift tradespeople, providing hands-on support when and where it's needed.
