The OpportunityWe’re currently seeking an experienced and passionate Health and Safety Business Partner to support the operational safety function at our Worsley Refinery site.
This is a hands-on, site-based role located at South 32 Worsley Refinery, WA, operating on a Monday to Friday roster. You’ll work closely with site teams and frontline leaders to embed a culture of safety excellence. As a trusted advisor, you’ll guide, coach, and influence teams across all areas of health and safety, focusing on proactive risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with operational teams to ensure compliance with Cleanaway and client HSE standards. Provide expert input on risk assessments, incident investigations (e.g., ICAM), and hazard management processes. Champion a culture of safety through engagement, coaching, and leadership support. Lead or facilitate safety initiatives relating to safe systems of work, critical risk controls, and process safety management. Collaborate with the wider HSE function to support organisational safety objectives and improvement programs.
About You
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or higher). Minimum 2 years' experience in a Health and Safety role. Proven ability to engage, influence, and coach leaders and teams. Experience in high-risk industries such as transport, resource recovery, or shutdown services highly regarded (training provided). Familiarity with ICAM or Root Cause Analysis methodology is desirable (training provided). Passionate about driving safety-first behaviours and continuous improvement.
