Discover Your Next RoleWe are currently recruiting for the position of General Mill Worker in the Burdekin Region at Inkerman Mill. This is a seasonal position and the successful applicant will be required to perform a full range of duties. Job level will depend on current qualifications and skills required to complete the position.
You will work as part of the maintenance team and perform duties as directed by the Work Coordinator and/or Work Execution Superintendent.
Your Role in Action
The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Operation of mobile plant Crane/ForkliftHigh level of theoretical and practical knowledge of the process and mechanical aspects of tools and equipmentA commitment to our safe operation and safe maintenance initiativesEnsure rigging equipment is checked, maintained and tested, any faulty equipment reported immediatelyEnsure permits to work, risk assessments and job safety analysis are conducted for all work undertakenPerform plant maintenance and/or assist day work/shift trades and production operators as requiredStrong communication and organisational skills in a team environmentHave an excellent understanding of the WH&S regulations
Essential Criteria:
Current manual drivers licenceA willingness and ability to acquire new skills and or qualifications as required to perform the duties of this position.
Desirable Skills:
Overhead Crane TicketHR LicenceForklift HRW LicenceMobile Crane HRW LicenceRigging HRW Licence - Basic/IntermediateScaffold HRW Licence - basic/IntermediateDogger HRW LicenceCommon User Competencies skills ie Welding/Fitting Skills
