What's involved?
During the 48-month apprenticeship you get to learn the following:
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Carry out general demolition of minor building structures
- Studying building plans and drawings to work out the materials required and how best to install features.
- Preparing, treating, cutting and shaping timber elements to be used for structures or fittings.
- Erecting building framework, roofs and floors, fitting exteriors, doors and window frames.
- Install lining, panelling and moulding, and flooring systems
- Passionate Learners : If you’re curious, proactive, and eager to understand the full scope of manufacturing operations, we want you!
- Detail-Oriented : Have an eye for detail and seek perfection in their work making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Problem-Solvers : Things can change fast. You’ll need to think on your feet and help solve challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Own Transport (P's is fine) preferred
- Commitment to full time work + study
- Full working rights in Australia
A carpentry apprentice may be eligible for up to $1750 at 6 and 12 months and $750 at 18 and 24 months.
