Fuse Recruitment are currently sourcing for an experienced Despatch / Logistics Coordinator to work with our client in the Production Flooring industry located in Prospect.
The Client:
An industry leader providing flooring solutions to the Performing arts, dance, studio and theatre industries. Working with clients whose size ranges from independent studios to venues hosting international performers, concerts, plays and ballets.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Despatch Co-ordinator to join our client’s team. As a key member of the logistics and despatch team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods from our warehouse to various sites across NSW and interstate.
You will work closely with the sales and contracts managers to ensure that all orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively. This is a Stand alone position, requiring a strong understanding of inventory management and purchasing procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
This role will see you working from the Head office Warehouse. A small warehouse consisting of 2 Aisles of racking and 50 pick face locations. This is a stand alone role.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods from the warehouse to various installation sites across NSW and interstate
  • Work closely with the sales and contracts manager to ensure that all orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively
  • Working on multiple projects at the same time
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct stock management, including cycle counting and stock take
  • Conduct purchasing from head office and arrange for delivery of goods to sites
  • Unloading containers of goods onsite
  • Loading of trucks for delivery to local installation sites
  • Utilising forklifts to put way stock into racking and to pick orders
  • Book in delivery trucks and ensure staff are onsite to unload materials
  • Organise materials to be picked up from sites once each job is finished
  • Liaise with builders, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of goods
  • Create and manage supplier and vendor networks in other states
  • Work with the sales manager to arrange trucking and material handlers in local areas to manage costs and save time
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Delivering small orders locally
  • Occasional early starts form 4am for container arrivals (early finishes on these days)

Requirements:
You will have worked in a similar role for 5+ years and having worked in the theatre or production industries is highly advantageous.
You will be happy working in a stand-alone role and be prepared to take full ownership of our client’s Despatch and logistics requirements.
You will also have the following:
  • Warehouse Management System experience
  • Experience liaising with transport companies both locally and interstate
  • 3+ Years inventory management, stock take and cycle count experience
  • Strong understanding of purchasing procedures
  • Client and vendor liaison experience
  • Valid Forklift license with experience loading and unloading trucks as well as picking goods from racking
  • Manual driver's license – to operate the company Van for deliveries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Proactive and results-driven approach
