Who You Are
You are a detail-driven and approachable Groups and Reservations Manager with a strong background in hospitality, where you have demonstrated exceptional organisational and communication skills. Your ability to coordinate between multiple departments and stakeholders makes you a vital asset to any team. You are passionate about delivering outstanding service and understand the importance of flexibility and attentiveness in managing reservations.
Proven experience in group reservations or a similar role in the hospitality industry. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple bookings simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude. A proactive problem-solver who can adapt to changing guest needs and circumstances. Proficiency with reservation software, property management systems (PMS), and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operational flow. Detail-oriented and committed to providing a high level of customer service at all times.
What You’ll Do
Oversee and manage all group reservations, ensuring accurate and efficient booking processes. Liaise with clients, event organisers, and internal teams to confirm booking details and special requests. Coordinate with sales, front desk, and event teams to ensure all group requirements are met, from arrival to departure. Handle special group requests, such as room block management, catering, and other event-related services. Ensure all reservation systems are updated and accurate, confirming bookings, rates, and availability. Resolve any issues or changes in group bookings, ensuring minimal disruption to operations or guest experience. Monitor group arrival patterns and adjust reservations to optimise room occupancy and revenue. Assist in training and mentoring reservation staff to ensure a high level of service delivery. Maintain detailed records of group bookings and client communications, ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards. Provide regular feedback to management on group booking trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in service delivery.
