About the role
You will be responsible for the organisation of teaching for the University of Notre Dame’s medical students at St John of God Murdoch Hospital and is an ambassador for the University’s activities within the Hospital.Key Responsibilities- Managing student rotations with administrative staff.
- Managing clinical teachers and recruiting new clinical teachers to maintain teaching capacity.
- Managing internal relationships with hospital administration.
- Pastoral care of students placed at SJOGM
- Mentoring of medical students at SJOGM.
- Facilitating other learning opportunities for students with colleagues.
- Conducting tutorials, grand rounds and bedside teaching.
- Delivery of on-campus lectures as required.
- Assisting with examinations which includes being an examiner for clinical examinations and writing and marking written assessments.
- Possession of a PhD or a Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship of a relevant professional body.
- Current accreditation at St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
- Experience in Medical Education, ideally in a University environment.
- Demonstrated experience of a high level of pastoral care to students.
- High level written and oral communication skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office and wed-based applications.
- Excellent organisational and management skills.
