The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced news journalist to join us at The Daily Advertiser based in Wagga. An opportunity to use your voice and produce high quality print and digital content for the community of Wagga. This role is a 12-month parental leave cover position.
The Daily Advertiser delivers the latest news from Wagga Wagga, NSW including sport, weather, entertainment and lifestyle. As part of Australian Community Media (ACM), it has a loyal readership, created by its consciousness of its role in the community - that of an informer, watchdog and entertainer.
The successful candidate will have :
- Strong news-gathering and writing/reporting skills
- A passion for giving the community a bigger voice and producing their stories
- Proven skills in creating content and news reporting for online and social media audiences with tight deadlines
- Proven educational qualifications in Communications/Journalism
