We are an active member of the Ingham cluster of small schools. Our principal participates in the North Queensland professional learning community with other small school principals. Although Mount Fox State School is in a remote location, the students are still involved in interschool sporting, educational and cultural activities throughout the year. Our remote location is not seen as a barrier to active participation and involvement in extracurricular activities.

This high teacher-student ratio enables our school to differentiate student learning to the needs of the individual students and set individual student learning targets.
