Description:
Flora Victoria is an environmental contracting business that specialises in work on the grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic Plains.
Our work includes the management of high-quality grassland remnants and other natural areas, native grass and wildflower seed production and revegetation of native flora by direct seeding as well as planting tube stock.
We are currently seeking people with a keen interest in the environment to join our bush crew.
Ideally you will have:
- Current manual driver’s license (highly preferred)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of indigenous plant/weed ID and a strong desire to upskill on your ID.
- A strong work ethic – much of our work is physically demanding and sometimes in very rugged terrain.
- Experience with working with various plant machinery: i.e. brushcutter, chainsaw, Spray rig.
- A commitment to quality – our work in grasslands needs to be meticulous and thorough, our reputation is built on this.
- An openness to new ideas and approaches.
- A great team playing attitude and passion for rehabilitation of EVCs across the Volcanic Plains.
- White Card holder (mandatory).
- Carry an ACUP, First Aid, Chainsaw ticket etc. would be an advantage.
There may be further opportunities for those who display leadership potential. Please note that Flora Victoria commence on site with minimal option to start from the depot.
The role is casual ongoing with a minimum of 4 days required. Immediate start.
