Temporary Full-time – 19 May 2025 – 30 January 2026
Band 2 - $66,708 - $68,089 yearly, (Includes allowances) plus 11.5% statutory superannuation
Having an eye for detail and being pro-active in your work will make you an ideal applicant to be a team member and part of our mowing crew. You will need to be a good communicator and be able to manage your time to get the work done. This is a very busy role, so you will need to be physically fit and healthy. At times you will work alone and at others you will work with a small team.
What your day will look like:
Work in the local parks and gardens maintaining and assisting with the high standard presentation of the Council’s open spaces by:
· Lawn mowing, brush cutting, and turf care activities.
· Shrub and tree pruning, planting, and weed control.
· Daily maintenance of vehicles and plant.
What you will take away:
· Experience in use and maintenance of vehicles and plant.
· Hands on physical work to keep you healthy.
· The grass never stops growing so there is always work to do!
We are looking for someone with:
· License to operate trucks, tractor, loader (or the ability to obtain).
· Experience in maintenance of municipal parks and gardens including grass and sports turf maintenance, tree planting and maintenance, and garden bed maintenance.
· Current drivers’ license - Medium rigid truck licence preferred.
