Financial Reporting Manager - Financial Services

This is a rare opportunity to join a leader in the Financial Services sector, who have a strong name in Australia and New Zealand market. Due to growth and a strong strategic finance plan they are now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to report directly into the Head of Finance.
Working closely with the Senior Finance team, you will be responsible for a varied range of financial activities, often focusing on listed reporting activity. Utilise your financial accounting skills and advisory mindset, you will work with key stakeholders across the business to apply your technical skillset.
Responsibilities include the following

• Consolidation of group results
• Analysing and accounting for ad hoc deals and arrangements
• Advice including scenario analysis of accounting and tax impacts
• Valuation and modelling for prospective deals
• Board reporting
• Analysis of new accounting standards and presentation of impactions and transition work program
• Supporting projects and ad hoc analysis
• Manage relationship with external auditors

Preferred background is someone who is a CA (possibly CPA) who has worked in financial services most recently or first time mover from Chartered at the Manager bracket. You will have good stakeholder management skills, presentation and communication. Your key skills are in technical accounting including IFRS / Australian Accounting Standards.
