About the role:
The Vendor Business Manager is responsible for profitability as well as driving strategic direction by working closely with our vendor partners and Internal sales teams. The Vendor Business Manager work as liaison between vendors and Ingram Micro; provides specialized consultative service and implementing, driving and maintaining vendor programs, marketing, and training; review and negotiate terms of vendor contracts and communicate with vendors regarding day-to-day matters; build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and monitor vendor performance; research invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies.
Role responsibilities:
- Building and driving mutually beneficial strategic relationships with our vendor partners
- Responsibility for profitability across the vendor portfolio.
- Developing and facilitating profitable partnerships and strategic management of the vendor relationship.
- Involvement in External meetings with customers and their Account Managers with a real focus on understanding our breadth of customers, what drives them, increasing market share and finding opportunities.
- Developing vendor and market segmentation business plans to present to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading and driving business opportunities for a particular vendor or project across multiple customer segments.
- Understanding and implementation of vendors' key initiatives across the business.
- Act as a resource to the department as a vendor expert.
- Focus on driving new sales opportunities across our customer base.
- Offer constructive feedback on the competitive landscape.
- Strong commercial understanding including negotiation of terms and conditions, rebate structure, buy-in and deals.
- Work closely with the Vendor Operations Manager to determine parameters for inventory stocking strategy, return of product, forecasting, payment decisions, Excess & Obsolete inventory management and priority allocation.
- Product lifecycle management.

- A marketing qualification is desirable
- Strong Excel/MS Office skills, financial/numeric skills to work with pricing, stock/inventory management and reporting
