- Base Salary: $151,671 - $159,471 (p.a.)

Working as the 2IC to the Executive Director you would be responsible for the administration and operational day-to-day management of the secretariat, drive the development of governance and reporting systems, help to manage partner-relationships and information exchange, oversight the communications functions, and develop and manage budgets.
With an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, you would ensure the effective development and management of research agreements, including progress and outcomes measurements, working in concert with established and to-be-established review committees. You will enjoy the opportunity to help establish a new board, acting as company secretary and providing advice, input and hands-on development of governance documentation (policies and the like) as well as being responsible for the smooth administrative functioning of the board. You will have:
- Experience in a leadership role with relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated high level of communication (verbal and written) including report writing, correspondence, grant writing and reporting
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing budgets
- Demonstrated experience hiring, managing and positively supporting and growing staff
- Demonstrated project/ program management skills and experience, including managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- High level interpersonal skills, including responsive in a changing environment
- An understanding of and commitment to the principles of Aboriginal Community Control
- Applied cultural awareness including working with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
