About Cadia

Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

Who we’re looking for

The Engineer IT Infrastructure will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and fixed infrastructure
• Manage physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and backups to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Preventative Maintenance on fixed infrastructure to ensure high availability of technology systems
• Administer cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to ensure seamless integration with on-premise infrastructure and efficient resource allocation.
• Implement and monitor security measures to protect infrastructure from cyber threats while ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Monitor system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to prevent downtime.
• Work with software developers, system administrators, and IT support teams to optimise infrastructure resources and enhance performance.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar role within industry and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will also possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science or a related field.
• Demonstrated progressive experience in a similar role
