Description
Your Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Provide a high level of customer service to enhance guest experience
- Accurately maintain guest reservations
- Adhere to BH Apartments & BSL policies and procedures
- Effectually and promptly communicate (phone and email) with guests and owners regarding all aspects of their stay, queries or apartment
- Distribute pre-arrival information to guests, follow up on guest registration and provide extensive information about Mt Buller (snow products, transport, activities and food/drink venues)
- Work cooperatively with all Hotel team members
- Ensure all apartments are thoroughly inspected before check-ins
- Maintain rapport with apartment owners
- Strong physical ability to walk to various apartments around the mountain in all weather conditions
- Follow workplace practices accordingly, complete tasks in a timely fashion and consistently display professionalism
- Treat all guests, peers and external parties with respect, sensitivity and understanding
- Follow direction from the Apartments Coordinator and Hotel & Apartments Managers for daily tasks, including unexpected situations that may arise
We're looking for people with:
- At least 12 months in Hotel Reception or Administrative related work - preferred
- Demonstrated a high level of customer service inclusive of dealing with challenging persons in a professional manner
- Extensive computer software knowledge (Outlook, GuestCentrix, Windcave, MachForm and online travel agent sites such as Booking.com is desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve quickly and apply appropriate action
- Manual purchase or deposit making through online payment portals
- Can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to no supervision
- Great attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong physical abilities for walking around the resort to the various apartments with lots of inclined areas, sometimes in poor weather conditions
- High level of organisation and time management
- Current knowledge of Mount Buller, the Australian ski industry and alpine tourism is preferred
- A ‘can do’ attitude
- Work effectively within a small team whilst also showing one’s own initiative
- Be flexible, punctual and committed to your work schedule
- Ability to remain calm and friendly under pressure in a busy setting
- Making the most of challenging or unfamiliar environment, including the ability to act with urgency and respond positively to situations
- Resilience to work and reside in isolating conditions
