About the RoleThis Head Chef position offers the chance to steer a well-performing kitchen team of up to 15 (5 permanent + casual brigade) and elevate a venue known for its community vibe and consistently busy food operations
While the team runs smoothly now, the current chef is stepping back and the business seeks a leader who can provide strong kitchen direction without disrupting the current harmony.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all kitchen operations, including rostering, costings, stock control, ordering and compliance
- Inspire and support a loyal team, mentoring junior chefs and casuals
- Be hands-on during service and lead from the front across lunch and dinner shifts
- Liaise with management to shape menus and ensure alignment with club clientele
- Maintain food standards and uphold consistency for a loyal and discerning patron base
- Collaborate with FOH and Events teams for seamless service across the venue
We’re looking for a seasoned culinary professional with a track record of leading busy venues — ideally in clubs, pubs or multi-outlet settings. You'll have:
- Strong admin skills (costing, GP management, ordering, stock control)
- A steady, supportive leadership style that nurtures a long-standing team
- Hands-on cooking ability, especially during peak periods
- A calm and solutions-focused mindset, ready to ease into an established kitchen dynamic
- Averaging about 42 hours a week.
- Flexibility around roster days (minimum one weekend day required)
- Hands-on role with flexibility for admin time and team leadership

- Salary range: $110K–$130K + Super
