Who are we looking for?
Do you have a background in purchasing, procurement or supplier relationship management and looking for a role where you can make a positive difference?
Join us as a Procurement Officer and directly support our mission of helping South Australians in need by ensuring that we can deliver essential services efficiently and effectively.
You’ll have demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing contracts, developing tender documentation and maintaining accurate records. Your ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders and understand strategic initiatives will be crucial in aligning contract planning with our organisational goals.
You thrive in a positive and collaborative team environment but can also work autonomously and juggle multiple tasks while consistently meeting deadlines. You’re passionate about providing excellent customer service and you'll be proactive in seeking ways to enhance our processes, driving us towards the best outcomes for our organisation.
What can you expect to be doing?
In this role, you'll be at the heart of our procurement services, ensuring that our contracts are negotiated and managed effectively to maximise our resources and make a greater impact on the lives of South Australians in need.
You'll facilitate the negotiation of goods and services contracts, plan and renew existing contracts and liaise with our Legal Services team to develop complex supplier contracts.
You'll also be responsible for developing tender documentation and managing the end-to-end tender process. You'll play a key role in relationship management, building strong connections with management, our internal customers and suppliers. You'll offer advice on contracts, review supplier meetings and help onboard new suppliers.
What do you need to bring?
- Tertiary qualifications in Purchasing and Contract Management (desirable)
- Proven experience in contract development and supplier relationship management
- Demonstrated commercial experience and ability to develop and administer policies and procedures
- Commitment to integrity in supplier negotiation and contracting
- Ability to operate autonomously to manage and coordinate tasks.
- Strong computer skills, especially with the Microsoft Office suite
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional time management and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
